FUN-TIME AT THE AKROPONG SCHOOL FOR THE BLIND
The Akropong School for the Blind was established in the Eastern Province (Eastern Region) of the then Gold Coast (Ghana) on August 6, 1945, to illuminate and alter the outlook and the social image of the blind in the country. The school trains blind children, helps integrate them into mainstream society, and enables them to do something for themselves.

A RAY OF HOPE FOR THE KORLE BU TEACHING HOSPITAL
Korle-Bu (the valley of the Korle lagoon) Hospital was established in 1923 and is the largest teaching hospital in Ghana; it became a teaching hospital in 1962. It is affiliated with the University of Ghana Medical School and now has seventeen separate clinical and diagnostic departments.
ADABRAKA POLYCLINIC RECEIVES AID
Adabraka Polyclinic is one of the primary health delivery centres in Accra. It is also the main place to get immunization for foreign travels. One remarkable thing about this clinic Dr. Ebenezer Oduro-Mensah, Head of Adabraka Polyclinic, said was that a pregnancy school has been opened to educate pregnant women on how to handle themselves during pregnancies.
KANE-EM DONATES TO KPONE HEALTH CENTRE
Kane-Em Industries Limited made a donation to the Kpone Health Centre, a suburb of Tema. Since Kane-em’s annex is in this jurisdiction and as the saying goes “Brighten the corner where you are” management decided to visit the Kpone Health Center. Items donated to the clinic were bags of rice, sugar, soft drinks, biscuits, canned fish, water and Kane-em’s products made up of bowls, dolls and balls for those on admission and patients at the OPD (Outpatients Department).
